Ather Konarc Debuts With 200-Kilometre Range, Ten-Year Battery Warranty
Ather Energy introduced a new electric scooter called the Konarc.
It is designed for everyday travel rather than mainly for high performance.
Depending on the version, it can travel a claimed 100 to 200 kilometres on a charge.
The scooter starts at Rs 1 lakh.
Ather also showed a new battery system that can detect possible damage after a serious accident.
The company says the battery should keep 70 percent of its health for about 1 lakh to 1.2 lakh kilometres.
Ather will provide a battery warranty lasting 10 years or 1,00,000 kilometres, whichever comes first.
Another system can help apartment buildings manage charging for as many as 1,000 electric vehicles.
A vehicle health report will help owners understand their scooter’s condition and possible resale value.
Ather Energy launched the Konarc electric scooter with a starting price of Rs 1 lakh and claimed IDC range options from 100 to 200 kilometres.
The Konarc is available in six S and Z variants and has a 10,000-kilometre service interval.
Ather’s fifth-generation Bedrock battery platform includes BreachSense and a warranty of 10 years or 1,00,000 kilometres.
AtherNode can manage charging for up to 1,000 EVs in apartment and commercial buildings.
Ather True Health provides vehicle, battery and service data, along with an estimated resale value for eligible scooters.
