Srikalahasti Temple Hundi Collections Top Rs 1.52 Crore
Devotees gave money and valuables to the Srikalahasteeswara Swamy Temple.
Temple staff counted the offerings collected over 26 days.
The cash added up to more than Rs 1.52 crore.
Most of it was in notes, with the rest in coins.
People also offered gold, silver and foreign currency notes.
The previous count was on September 9.
Temple officials said they were handling and storing the offerings safely and according to the rules.
Srikalahasteeswara Swamy Temple collected Rs 1,52,72,166 in cash over 26 days.
The cash total included Rs 1,46,73,913 in notes and Rs 5,98,253 in coins.
Devotees also offered 37 grams of gold, 421.700 kg of silver and 85 foreign currency notes.
The previous hundi counting was held on September 9; the latest count took place on Monday.
Temple Executive Officer B.K. Venkatesulu said offerings were counted and secured transparently under temple rules.
