Rs 214 Crore Urban Infrastructure Projects Sanctioned in Tirupati District
The government approved money to improve towns in Tirupati district.
Six urban local bodies will share Rs 214 crore for these projects.
The work includes building concrete roads, adding streetlights, improving parks and making road dividers.
Tirupati city will receive Rs 106 crore.
The other five municipalities will share Rs 108 crore.
Under the Hybrid Annuity Model, the government pays part of the cost at the beginning.
Contractors pay the rest and receive repayment over 10 years after finishing the work.
Similar projects worth Rs 94 crore were also launched in four urban bodies in Annamayya district.
Infrastructure projects worth Rs 214 crore were sanctioned for six urban local bodies in Tirupati district.
Tirupati Municipal Corporation received Rs 106 crore for roads, dividers, streetlights, parks and greenery.
The other five municipalities received Rs 108 crore, with Srikalahasti getting the largest allocation of Rs 27 crore.
Under the Hybrid Annuity Model, the government will pay 40% initially and repay the contractor’s 60% investment over 10 years.
Separate HAM-funded works worth Rs 94 crore were launched in four urban local bodies in Annamayya district.
