Chandigarh University hosts National Space Technology Conclave with ISRO, IIST
Chandigarh University in India held a big meeting about space called the National Space Technology Conclave.
It lasted for two days and started on Monday, August 17.
Many smart scientists and engineers came to talk about India's future space missions.
Some of them work for ISRO, India's space agency.
A leader named Dr Vinod Kumar said India used to buy most of its space technology from other countries.
He said the government opened space to private companies in June 2020.
Since then, more than 450 new space companies have started in India.
The scientists also talked about making space technology cheaper and useful for people.
At the end, they announced a special declaration to help India become a strong space country by 2047.

Chandigarh University hosted the two-day National Space Technology Conclave (NSTC) 2026, which began on Monday, August 17.
The conclave brought together 30 distinguished scientists, mission leaders and technologists from ISRO and IIST, along with 10 CEOs from leading Indian space industries and start-ups.
IN-SPACe Director Dr Vinod Kumar said India was not self-sufficient in space, with more than 70 per cent of demand met through outsourcing.
The space sector was opened to private participation in June 2020, leading to a boom of more than 450 space start-ups.
Prof Eswar Sunkara announced the Chandigarh University Declaration on Space Technology for Viksit Bharat 2047.
