Atmakur town in Nellore district is planned to receive a major makeover.

The government estimates that the work will cost between Rs 30 crore and Rs 40 crore.

The improvements are expected to be completed by March 2027.

Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy inspected the bypass road work.

A road between Atmakur and Somasila will be rebuilt using Rs 5 crore.

Another five-kilometre road section near Sangam, Kaligiri and Hasanapuram will also be developed.

Officials will soon announce dates for several road and temple-related events.

The government has also proposed a new pipeline from Somasila.

This pipeline is intended to provide a lasting solution to Atmakur’s drinking water shortage.
