Eight Green Acres Committee Members Disqualified Over Non-Disclosure of Records
There is a housing society in Mumbai called Green Acres in Andheri East.
A member named Alex Noronha asked the society for information about how it was run.
He wanted to see meeting notes, audit reports, and how money was spent.
The rules say society members have a right to see these documents.
The society did not give him the documents on time.

The Deputy Registrar had directed the society on September 22, 2025 to provide the documents within 45 days, but the society failed to comply.
Certified auditor Satish Kakade was appointed as an authorised officer on March 17, 2026 to facilitate furnishing of documents, yet most requested information remained unprovided.
The Deputy Registrar rejected the society's defence, citing Section 154B-8 of the Maharashtra Cooperative Societies Act and a Bombay High Court ruling that information disclosure is a mandatory responsibility of the committee.
