Worli Police Register Two FIRs Over Housing Society Redevelopment Fraud
Redevelopment Row: Police Register 2 FIRs For Alleged Forgery & Illegal Eviction · freepressjournal.in

A group of people who live in a place called Worli in Mumbai are upset.

They say some former leaders of their housing society and a building company tricked them.

The police in Worli have started a formal investigation, called an FIR, into this.

Two people, Umar Shaikh and Habib Nagori, filed complaints about it.

They say old leaders of the society pretended to still be in charge after they were removed.

They also say fake signatures and fake papers were used to tear down some homes.

Six small homes were knocked down in 2019.

The police are now checking all the papers to find out what really happened.

A court told the police to investigate on June 25 this year.

Now the police will decide if anyone broke the law.
