AI Demand Drives Foxconn August Sales To $29.14 Billion
Foxconn makes many electronic products and also builds servers used for artificial intelligence.
In August, its sales were much higher than in the same month last year.
The company earned NT$921.77 billion, or about $29.14 billion.
This was its second-best monthly sales result ever.
Demand for AI equipment helped its cloud and networking business grow.
Some consumer electronics sales also increased because customers were preparing for new product launches.
Foxconn expects the usual busy third quarter to keep supporting sales.
Another Apple supplier, Largan Precision, had lower sales than last August but slightly higher sales than in July.
Largan expects September shipments to benefit from peak-season demand and customer inventory building.
Foxconn’s August sales rose 51.98% year on year to NT$921.77 billion ($29.14 billion).
August sales were Hon Hai’s second-highest monthly total, behind July’s NT$946.51 billion.
Foxconn said its cloud and networking division benefited from accelerating demand for AI applications.
The company’s sales for January through August reached NT$6.51 trillion ($205.32 billion), up 39.73% year on year.
Apple supplier Largan Precision reported August sales down 16% year on year but up 3% from July.
