Madhya Pradesh Institute Launches Hindi-Medium Civil Engineering Course With Incentive
A college in Indore has started teaching civil engineering in Hindi.
The course is for students who studied in Hindi-medium schools.
The special class has 30 seats, and about 20 students have joined.
The Madhya Pradesh government will give eligible students Rs 2 lakh in their final year.
Teachers began preparing Hindi study materials several years ago.
They also trained teachers to explain engineering subjects in Hindi.
Students will still learn English because it can help with future studies and jobs.
The programme is meant to make engineering easier to understand without removing English from students’ education.
Shri G S Institute of Technology and Science in Indore has launched a Hindi-medium BTech Civil Engineering course.
The special batch has 30 seats, with around 20 students already admitted.
Eligible students will receive a Rs 2 lakh Madhya Pradesh government incentive in their final year.
The programme aims to help Hindi-medium students overcome language barriers in technical education, following the National Education Policy.
Students can study and write exams in Hindi while continuing to develop English skills for higher studies and careers.
