Rahul Gandhi Demands Answer on Who Authorized Firing on Students
Some students in Delhi went to protest, and during the protest someone fired special guns called pellet guns at them.
Pellet guns shoot small pellets that sting and can hurt people.
Now, a political leader named Rahul Gandhi wants to know who told the police to fire those guns.
Rahul Gandhi said that people in India are not interested in listening to the Home Minister, Amit Shah, talk about other things.
He wants Amit Shah to answer just one question: who gave the order to shoot the students?
Rahul Gandhi is the leader of the opposition in India's Parliament, the Lok Sabha.
He said the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, and Amit Shah have not come to Parliament for more than 15 days.
He said they do not have the courage to admit what they have done.
Rahul Gandhi said all of this at a press conference in New Delhi, next to the president of his party, Mallikarjuna Kharge.
Rahul Gandhi said the country is not interested in Amit Shah's speech in Parliament "on general topics."
Gandhi demanded the Union home minister reveal who authorized the firing of pellet guns on protesting students.
He said neither PM Narendra Modi nor Amit Shah has come to the House for over 15 days.
Gandhi asserted neither leader has had the "guts to own up to what they have done."
He spoke at a press conference with Congress president Mallikarjuna Kharge at Indira Bhawan in New Delhi.
