Livelihoods mission aims to create women entrepreneurs in Kashmir
Some women who live in villages in Kashmir, India, started their own food business.
They got help from a government program called the National Rural Livelihoods Mission.
The women belong to groups called Self-Help Groups, where women help each other save money and learn new skills.

Similar food service enterprises have been established in 12 more districts, with a target of 20 districts, managed by women SHG members.
RDD Secretary Mohammad Aijaz Asad said the objective is for SHG women to become 'Lakhpati Didis' and not just earning members.
A beneficiary at the Pulwama enterprise said they received Rs 25,000 to start the business, and cars were provided to women under the Ajeevika Gramin Express Yojana.
