NEET UG 2026: MCC Counselling Choice Locking Ends August 13

Students who want to study medicine take a big test called NEET UG.

After the test, a group called the Medical Counselling Committee helps them get seats in medical schools.

This process is called counselling.

It started on August 5, 2026.

Students must sign up and pay a fee by August 12.

Then they can pick which medical schools they like best.

They must lock their choices, like putting a padlock on them, by August 13.

On August 17, the results tell them which school they got.

Students then report to their new school between August 18 and August 22.

This is how students find the medical school that fits them best.
