MCC Begins NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 1 Choice Filling

Many students in India want to become doctors, so they take a big test called NEET UG.

After the test, they go through a process called counselling to get a seat in a medical college.

On August 7 at 4 PM, the first round of choosing colleges started.

Students log in to an official website called mcc.nic.in to see which medical and dental colleges and courses they can pick.

They choose their favorites and put them in order, because the order matters a lot for getting a seat.

First, they save their list, and later they must lock it to make it final.

Locking requires their password and a secret code sent to their phone or email.

After locking, students download a letter showing their final choices.

MCC also lets students fix mistakes in their registration until August 12.

A computer uses the list, their rank, and available seats to give each student a college.
