Scooter rider caught smuggling gold and gems near Kolkata airport

A man in Kolkata tried to sneak away with a big bag of treasure.

Police caught him riding a scooter near the airport.

The treasure had gold, silver, diamonds, rubies, and emeralds.

It was worth almost one crore rupees.

The gold alone weighed about 400 grams and cost around 60 lakh rupees.

Police knew about the plan because someone gave them a secret tip.

The man's name is Ram Avatar Sharma and he comes from Rajasthan.

Now he is under arrest and the treasure has been taken away.

Sneaking valuables out of a place without permission is called smuggling, and it is against the law.
