Forest officials later calmed and controlled the tiger and recovered Sugna’s body.

Villagers protested because Sugna was the main earner for her family.

Officials are investigating whether someone’s mistake caused the tiger to enter the enclosure.

They said her family may receive financial help and a contractual job for one dependent.
