The Andhra Pradesh government sanctioned Rs 300 crore to repair, reconstruct and modernise roads in six districts.
The programme covers 78 roads spanning approximately 431km across the Godavari region.
State highways will receive Rs 185.75 crore for 41 stretches covering about 275km.
Major district roads will receive Rs 114.25 crore for 37 roads extending nearly 155km.
The works aim to provide safer travel, improve pilgrim access and reduce congestion during the 2027 Godavari Pushkarams.
