12 Andhra Pradesh Hospitals to Become Organ Transplant Centers
The state of Andhra Pradesh in India is making a big change to help people who need organ transplants.
The health minister said that 12 big teaching hospitals will become special centers where doctors can do organ transplants.
This will help patients who can't afford expensive private hospitals.
Right now, almost 6,000 people in the state are waiting for organs.
The first step will add kidney transplant services in hospitals in cities like Visakhapatnam, Palasa, and Vijayawada.
The plan also includes new centers to collect and give out organs.
A group called Jeevan Daan is running a campaign to tell people about organ donation, and a famous badminton player, PV Sindhu, is encouraging people to sign up.
The goal is to make life‑saving transplants easier and cheaper for everyone.

Organ procurement centers will be established in all 12 hospitals, with public awareness led by Jeevan Daan and PV Sindhu.
