Assam Rifles Hosts Patriotic Rallies, Youth Activities in Manipur Villages

Some soldiers called the Assam Rifles planned fun and proud events in faraway villages in a part of India called Manipur.

They did this because India's Independence Day was coming soon, and they wanted everyone to feel happy about their country.

The soldiers gave out Indian flags and even ran with villagers and school children while holding the flags.

They sang a special patriotic song called Vande Mataram together, which is 150 years old.

Many students and teachers joined in, and some events had singing and music from the soldiers' band.

The soldiers and villagers also planted 500 little trees to help nature.

They cleaned the streets and public places in a village called Aina.

Some older kids and adults ran in a big race called 'Run Moreh Run', and the fastest runners got medals.

The children could also watch a special movie about being brave and working hard.

It was a fun way for everyone to come together and celebrate their country.
