Tricolour Flies High Near LAC as Arunachal Villages Hold Yatra
A big, beautiful flag of India went on a walk in faraway mountains.
The walk was called a Tiranga Yatra.
It happened in the villages of Chuna and Mago in Arunachal Pradesh.
These villages sit very close to India's border, called the Line of Actual Control.
The walk took place very high up, about 13,000 feet.
Soldiers from the army and police walked together with the villagers.
They carried a huge national flag that was 300 metres long.
People held the walk to get ready for Independence Day, when India celebrates being free.
It also honoured a famous patriotic song called Vande Mataram.
Walking under one flag showed unity and love for their country.
A Tiranga Yatra was held in the Chuna and Mago sectors of Tawang district, Arunachal Pradesh, near the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
The event took place at around 13,000 feet under the Vibrant Villages Programme, ahead of Independence Day celebrations.
It commemorated 150 years of Vande Mataram and was part of the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
The yatra was organised by the Jang Sub-Divisional Administration with BJP Mandal 3-Mukto, the Indian Army, the ITBP and local residents.
A highlight was a 300-metre-long national flag carried by villagers and security personnel from Chuna to Mago village.
