At Caterpillar's Demonstration and Learning Centre in Tucson, Arizona, officials reviewed large-scale mining machinery operating through autonomous and remote-control systems.
The delegation also visited Komatsu's manufacturing facility in Longview, near Dallas, Texas, to discuss technological collaboration, equipment supply and spare parts availability.
Authorities said automated machinery in opencast mines is expected to reduce accident rates and could lead to local maintenance hubs and skill development training in Telangana.
