The head of a big mining company spoke at a special Independence Day celebration in Kothagudem on Saturday.

The company, Singareni, digs up coal from under the ground.

Coal is used to make electricity that powers our lights and fans.

The leader said Singareni got two new places to dig coal.

One new place, called Tadicherla-2, has enough coal to keep mining for almost 40 years.

The company also earned the right to dig another place called PK OC-2 Dip-side.

Singareni wants to find gold, copper, and other special minerals too.

These minerals are used to make things like phones and computers.

Singareni will also send more coal to power plants because people are using more electricity.

Workers who did a great job got awards, and everyone enjoyed cultural programs at the celebration.
