UP Achieves 85.19% Farmer Registry Target, Ranks 10th Nationally
There is a big list in India called the Farmer Registry.
This list has the names of farmers so the government can help them.
In the state of Uttar Pradesh, workers are adding farmers' names to this list.
So far, they have completed about 85 out of every 100 names.
The government set a goal of writing down almost 29 million farmers' names.
Two districts, Ghaziabad and Rampur, have finished their lists completely.
The list helps farmers get things like crop insurance, loans, and money from schemes such as PM Kisan Samman Nidhi.
Workers need to add many names each day to finish on time.
When the list is done, every eligible farmer in the state will have a digital identity.
Uttar Pradesh has achieved 85.19 percent of its Farmer Registry target and ranks 10th nationally in the digital farmer registration drive.
The Government of India set a target of registering 2,88,70,495 farmers in the state, of which 2,45,94,831 have been registered so far.
Registration of 42,75,664 farmers remains pending; completing the target by August 29, 2026 would require registering about 1,42,522 farmers daily.
Ghaziabad and Rampur have completed 100 percent of their registration targets, while Jhansi and Hardoi are top performers in share determination.
The campaign aims to create an integrated digital farmer database to enable transparent and timely delivery of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, crop insurance, agricultural loans, subsidies, and other schemes.
