Bhandup Contractor Booked After Electrician’s Fatal Construction-Site Fall
Pradeep Kumar was an electrician working at a building site in Bhandup.
On September 28, he fell into a fire duct inside the building and died.
His family could not reach him and reported him missing.
He was later found in the duct and taken to a hospital, where doctors said he had died.
His wife told police that the site did not have important safety equipment, nets or helmets.
Police have booked the contractor and others while they investigate whether safety problems contributed to the fall.

Police say Kumar fell from the 19th floor into a duct near the lift on the 11th floor on September 28.
His wife, Sangeeta Devi, filed a complaint alleging that the site lacked safety equipment, protective nets and helmets.
Police booked contractor Jaiprakash and others under Section 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for alleged negligence.
Police are investigating whether the alleged safety lapses contributed to Kumar’s death.
