Contractor Booked After Worker Dies in Pune Tank Demolition
A worker named Suresh Shankar Shinde was helping demolish an old water tank in Pune.
The tank was at the BJ Medical College hostel.
Part of the tank suddenly fell on him early on September 16.
Firefighters rescued him from under the broken pieces.
He was taken to a hospital for care.
He died several days later, on September 21.
Police filed a case against the contractor, Mukesh Chavan.
They are checking whether the demolition was done safely.

Fire brigade personnel rescued Shinde, who was taken to a hospital for treatment.
