Wadala Man Dies in Lift Shaft; Contractor Booked
A 37-year-old man named Sanjay Limbunas Minz visited a construction site in Wadala to meet his nephew.
He and two friends later went to the building’s sixth floor and went to sleep.
During the night, Minz fell into an open lift shaft.
Workers found him and took him to Sion Hospital by ambulance.
He died there from his injuries.
Police filed a case against contractor K. V. Nair.
Police say the site did not have proper safety arrangements.
The investigation is still continuing.

Matunga police booked contractor K. V. Nair of M/s Task Infra Projects LLP under Section 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Police allege that inadequate safety arrangements allowed people to stay inside the hazardous construction site, and further investigation is underway.
