Revanth Reddy to distribute smart ration cards in Sangareddy
The Chief Minister of Telangana is getting ready to give out special new smart ration cards.
Ration cards are official cards that help families buy food at lower prices.
He will do this on Independence Day, August 15, in a town called Sangareddy.
A big meeting will be held at the Ambedkar stadium.
About one lakh people, which is like 100,000 people, are expected to come.
The Chief Minister will personally hand cards to ten people, one from each nearby area.
After that, the government plans to give smart ration cards to 10.5 million people across the whole state.
Some leaders said the old government did not give enough ration cards to people who needed them.
The new leaders say they want every eligible family to get a card.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will distribute new smart ration cards at a public meeting in Sangareddy on August 15 (Independence Day).
The meeting venue is Ambedkar stadium, with a helipad being set up at the Tara Government Degree College premises.
Around one lakh (100,000) people are expected to be mobilised for the public meeting.

TPCC working president Jayaprakash Jagga Reddy criticised the previous BRS government for partial and inadequate ration card distribution and said Congress would issue smart ration cards to 10.5 million (1.05 crore) people across the state.
