Uttar Pradesh Forms Nomadic Development Board for Denotified Communities

A long time ago, British rulers made a very unfair law that called some Indian communities “criminal tribes.”

That label hurt these communities for many years.

After India became free, Dr. Ambedkar removed that bad label.

But these communities, some of whom travel from place to place, still did not get much help for a long time.

Now the state of Uttar Pradesh has created a special group called the Nomadic Development Board.

The Board will help these communities get food cards, homes, healthcare, electricity, and other government benefits.

The Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, said the Board will give these communities respect and dignity.

People from these communities came together to thank him for keeping his promise.

The government says it will also make a big action plan to help with education, health, housing, and jobs.

This way, these communities can live settled and happier lives.
