Sports vital for students' holistic development: Tourism Minister

A very important government leader came to watch girls play football.

His name is Kandula Durgesh, and he is the minister in charge of tourism, culture, and films for the state.

He gave an inspirational speech to the young players at a big football championship.

He told them that playing sports is just as important as studying in school.

Sports help kids become strong, confident, and good at working with others as a team.

He talked about famous women sportspersons like Mary Kom, PV Sindhu, and Bala Devi, who achieved great success in their sports.

He said women can succeed in any field when they get equal opportunities.

The minister also told the girls to accept winning and losing as a normal part of sport.

About 51 teams from different states are taking part in the championship.

The event is being held at Sri Prakash Educational Institutions in Rajamahendravaram from August 6 to 8.
