MLA inaugurates Amaravati Championship district sports competitions in Bhimavaram
A big sports day started at a college in Bhimavaram, India.

Pulaparthi Ramanjaneyulu, Bhimavaram MLA and AP Public Accounts Committee chairman, inaugurated the Amaravati Championship 2026 district-level sports competitions at SRKR Engineering College.
Ramanjaneyulu said sports build physical fitness, discipline and concentration, helping students excel in academics and reach the top in education.
District Collector Chadalavada Nagarani urged athletes to showcase their talent at State-level competitions and bring recognition to the district.
Additional SP D Viswanath advised sportspersons to stay away from narcotics and harmful addictions, while SAAP Director P. Ravindranath said 183 Physical Directors were selected for West Godavari district in recent DSC recruitment.
About 190 athletes took part in volleyball, alongside 63 in yoga, 56 in badminton, 41 in chess and seven in weightlifting, from seven Assembly constituencies.
