National Cricket Meet Opens in Visakhapatnam with 560 Students
A national cricket tournament for school students began in Visakhapatnam.
About 560 students from 10 regions are taking part.
There are 40 teams in the competition.
The tournament will continue until August 26.
MP M Sribharat opened the event by unfurling the sports flag with an education official.
He told students to play fairly and use the opportunity to show their skills.
He also asked them to set goals early and work steadily toward them.
He encouraged students to balance schoolwork, sports and personal growth.
He said girls should have stronger opportunities to participate in sports.
