IIM Bangalore and Tata Trusts are working together to create a new undergraduate school.

The school will be called the IIM Bangalore–Dorabji Tata School of Undergraduate Studies.

Its first students will begin classes on August 31.

There will be 80 students in the first group.

They will study in two four-year residential programmes.

One programme focuses on Data Sciences, and the other focuses on Economics.

Each programme also includes the other subject as a minor.

Tata Trusts will help build the school and support its planning and governance.
