Maharashtra DCM Sunetra Pawar Directs MHADA to Fast-Track Housing, Lottery

A large-scale MHADA housing lottery will be announced soon and completed in a transparent, time-bound manner for affordable homes.
Tenements unsold after two or more lottery rounds will be sold on a 'First Come, First Served' basis so units do not remain vacant.
Administrative approvals were ordered for MHADA projects worth Rs 155.22 crore in Shirur and Rs 89.47 crore in Kharabwadi.
MHADA must provide working women's hostels and student dormitories on rent and formulate a policy against developers charging extra fees.
