MAHAGENCO Named State Generation Company of the Year 2026
MAHAGENCO is Maharashtra’s state-owned electricity generation company.
It won an award for being the State Generation Company of the Year.
The award was given at a ceremony in New Delhi on 1 September 2026.
Minister of State for Power Shripad Naik presented it.
Pankaj Sapate accepted the award for the company.
MAHAGENCO said it is working to provide dependable electricity.
It also plans to expand renewable power and support cleaner energy.
The company said these efforts will help strengthen Maharashtra’s energy security.
MAHAGENCO received the State Generation Company of the Year award at the Bharat Electricity Powering India Awards 2026.
The ceremony took place on 1 September 2026 at Yashobhoomi, IICC, Dwarka, New Delhi.
Minister of State for Power Shripad Naik presented the award, with Central Electricity Authority Chairman Ganshyam Prasad in attendance.
Executive Director (O&M) Pankaj Sapate accepted the award on behalf of MAHAGENCO.
