Instagram Lets Users Add Tagged Posts to Main Profile Grids
Instagram now lets people put some tagged photos and videos on their main profile grid.
Before this update, tagged posts were usually shown only in a separate Tagged tab.
People can add a post from a notification, the post’s three-dot menu, or the Tagged tab.
This means users can show group photos, travel memories, events, or brand collaborations without reposting them.
The original post stays on the account that created it.
A tagged post normally appears on the grid based on when it was first published.
People who have rearranged their grid may be able to choose another position.
Users can also remove the tagged post from their grid later.
Removing it from the grid does not delete the original photo or video.
Instagram is rolling out a feature that lets users add eligible tagged photos and videos to their main profile grids.
Tagged posts previously appeared only in a separate Tagged tab unless users manually reposted or added them.
Users can add tagged posts from a notification, the post’s three-dot menu, or the Tagged tab.
By default, added posts appear according to their original publication date in reverse chronological order; users with rearranged grids may position them elsewhere.
Removing a tagged post from the main grid does not delete the original post, remove the tag, or remove it from the Tagged section.
