A crane at a building site in Kandivali suddenly fell on Wednesday night.

Part of it landed in a nearby residential area and damaged a motorcycle.

Nobody was reported hurt or trapped in this incident.

Police and firefighters came to check that the area was safe.

Officials do not yet know why the crane fell.

A similar crane accident happened in Kurla on August 21.

That accident hurt 10 people, although all were reported to be stable.

The recent incidents have led to concerns about safety at construction and demolition sites in Mumbai.
