SEAL Ashram Marks 80th Independence Day With 425+ Residents
SEAL Ashram is a special home that takes care of people who have no one, like elderly people, people with disabilities, and people who are homeless.
On India's 80th birthday, called Independence Day, more than 425 people who live there celebrated together.
People from over 20 different states were part of the celebration.
A former leader from the Maharashtra Minority Commission, Dr Abraham Mathai, came to join the fun.
A police officer named Sachin Pawar also came with his team and gave 450 snack boxes to the residents and children from a nearby school.
The children also got new stationery like pencils and notebooks.
Everyone sang the National Anthem and watched the flag go up.
The Ashram wants everyone to feel loved and cared for, not just on this day but every day.
They believe freedom also means being free from being lonely, hungry, or forgotten.
SEAL Ashram celebrated India's 80th Independence Day with more than 425 residents from over 20 states.
Dr Abraham Mathai, former Vice Chairman of the Maharashtra State Minority Commission, attended the celebrations.
Sachin Pawar, Assistant Police Inspector of the City Police Station, sponsored 450 snack boxes for residents and about 50 children from Vangani Anganwadi school.
Stationery items were distributed among children from Anganwadi and primary classes in Wangani village.
The national flag was hoisted and the National Anthem was sung, with SEAL friends, well-wishers, and supporters participating.
