Patriotic rally with 700-foot national flag held in Ongole
On Thursday, college students in a city called Ongole went on a special walk to celebrate Independence Day.
They carried a giant Indian flag that was 700 feet long, which is longer than two football fields.
A government leader called the District Collector, P Raja Babu, started the walk at the Collectorate building.
The students walked together toward the Mini Stadium.
Another leader, Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, who is a Member of Parliament, said the big flag shows that all Indians are united.
He also said that India has made a lot of progress since it became independent.
The District Collector asked other colleges to hold similar events so young people learn to love their country.
Many officials, teachers, and students joined the rally.
Carrying one huge flag together helps everyone feel proud to be Indian.
PACE Engineering College organized a patriotic rally carrying a 700-foot-long national flag in Ongole on Thursday.

The rally, joined by a large number of PACE Engineering College students, proceeded towards the Mini Stadium.
Parliament Member Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy said the rally symbolized national unity and patriotism and highlighted India's progress since Independence.
The Collector called for similar programmes in colleges across the district to promote patriotic spirit among youth.
