Chhattisgarh CM seeks Centre support for urea plant, grid, Ayurveda institute
The chief minister of Chhattisgarh, Vishnu Deo Sai, met the prime minister, Narendra Modi, in New Delhi.
He asked the central government to approve a big urea plant that will help farmers get fertilizer.
He also wanted help to connect 461 villages in the Bastar area to the main electricity grid.
He suggested building a national Ayurveda institute in Raipur or Bastar to improve health care.
The meeting also covered many other projects like roads, rail, air travel, schools, and tourism in Bastar.
The state said it is doing well with money and wants more investment.
The chief minister invited the prime minister to a big women‑empowerment event in 2027.

He requested special assistance to connect 461 remote villages in Bastar and other security‑sensitive areas to the permanent electricity grid.
The CM urged the establishment of an All India Institute of Ayurveda in Raipur or Bastar to strengthen healthcare and promote traditional medicine.
The meeting covered broader Bastar development plans, including infrastructure (rail, road, air), education, healthcare, and tourism initiatives.
Chhattisgarh highlighted its investment attractiveness, AI mission, and fiscal improvements, and invited the PM to attend a 2027 Lakhpati Didi conference.
