Six Cases Filed Against Manipal Bars for Serving Minors
Police in Manipal checked six bars on August 1.
They found 87 people under 21 drinking alcohol, which is illegal.
The police made six complaints against the bar owners and managers.

The inspection was led by Inspector Mahesh Prasad on August 1, 2023.
64 boys, 23 girls, and a 17‑year‑old were seen drinking alcohol inside the establishments.
Bars inspected included Ecstasy 7th Heaven Pub, Sai Sagar Bar & Restaurant, Down The Road Bar & Restaurant, Dexter Bar & Restaurant, Dee Tee Bar & Restaurant, and Janani Bar & Restaurant.
Authorities may suspend licences and promise future raids on bars that allow minors to drink.
