Two BPO Employees Die in Boat Capsize
A tourist boat with 14 people on it flipped over near the Malpe coast in Karnataka.
Everyone was rescued, but two people died and four were badly hurt.
The boat had life jackets, but not everyone was wearing them when the accident happened.
The police are still checking what exactly happened.
The two people who died were named Shankarappa and Sindhu.
The boat was run by a private company and had left from the Malpe delta beach.
The two who died and two others who were hurt worked at the same call center in Mysuru.
A tourist boat carrying 14 people capsized near the Malpe beach in Karnataka’s Udupi district on Sunday.
Two passengers, identified as Shankarappa (22) and Sindhu (23), both BPO employees from Mysuru, died in the incident.
Four other passengers were critically injured, with one in critical condition and another out of danger.
The boat, operated by Waveriders, had a capacity of 16 to 20 people and was traveling from Malpe Delta beach point.
The accident occurred near the Hangarkatte shipbuilding area, where the river and sea meet.
