Taiwan is getting new super-fast trains.

These trains can travel 300 kilometers every hour, which is much faster than a car on a highway.

The new trains are based on very famous fast trains from Japan called Shinkansen.

Japan is known for making fast and safe trains.

A company called the Hitachi Toshiba Supreme Consortium is building the trains.

Taiwan ordered 12 trainsets, which means 144 train cars in total.

The first train set has already been built and shipped to Taiwan.

The new trains will run between the cities of Taipei and Kaohsiung.

They will be more comfortable and can carry more passengers.

This will make train travel in Taiwan better for everyone.
