Chandrababu Sets 2027 Literacy Target, Expands Skills and Safety Drive
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu wants everyone in the state to be able to read and write by 2027.
He announced this goal through a program called Akshara Andhra.
He also wants young people to learn skills that industries need.
Officials were asked to hold job fairs and help trained youths find work.
Nearly 4.98 lakh young people have registered on the skills portal.
The chief minister praised cities including Guntur and Vijayawada for their clean-air achievements.
He ordered safety checks for school buildings.
He also said healthcare awareness and technology should reach more people.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu set a target of 100% literacy by 2027 through the Akshara Andhra program.
He directed officials to expand youth skill development, organize constituency-level job fairs, and connect skilled workers with upcoming industries.
A total of 4.98 lakh youths have registered on the state skills portal, according to the conference.
Guntur ranked second nationally in the Swachh Vayu Survekshan, while Guntur and Vijayawada wards received National Clean Air Cities awards.
Naidu ordered school-building safety audits, monthly grassroots healthcare awareness through Sanjeevani, and greater use of technology in medical services.
