Every year, India celebrates Independence Day to remember the day the country became free.

This year, people in Hyderabad celebrated the 80th Independence Day.

The celebration took place at a big building called the Income Tax Towers.

A very important tax officer named Suresh Battini raised the Indian flag.

After that, everyone sang the national anthem together.

Mr. Battini told the workers to make their office innovative, healthy, clean and helpful to taxpayers.

He also spoke about a plan called Viksit Bharat @2047.

The tax employees wanted to help their community too.

A group called Sphoorti decided to pay the school fees for some girl students.

Because of this help, these girls from MVVM College in Begumpet can keep studying even though their families need financial support.
