AP SEC Issues Notification for Ward-Wise Photo Electoral Rolls

In the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, there is a group called the State Election Commission.

Its job is to make sure city elections are fair.

The group told every city, called a municipal corporation, to make a voting list.

Each voting list shows the picture of every person who can vote, so it is called a photo electoral roll.

The lists must be ready soon — one report says by September 9, and another says September 3.

The lists will be used for city elections, including for the mayor and ward members.

They will also help decide which seats are reserved for certain groups.

People who are old enough to vote by January 1, 2026 will be on the list.

The cities will use the newest Assembly voting lists to make their own lists.

This helps make sure everyone who can vote is on the list.
