YSRCP Seeks Urban Polls After Final Electoral Rolls
YSRCP wants city and town elections to happen after voter lists are fully checked.
The party met the State Election Commission to make this request.
The commission’s current deadline for preparing local election rolls is September 3, 2026.
The final Special Intensive Revision voter lists are expected on October 3.
The revision is checking for deceased, duplicate, relocated, absent and untraceable voters.
Some eligible people are also asking for their names to be added back.

YSRCP asked the State Election Commission to hold urban local body elections only after final Special Intensive Revision rolls are published.
A delegation led by YSRCP State General Secretary Lella Appi Reddy met State Election Commissioner Anil Chandra Punetha on Wednesday.
