Forest beat officer electrocuted by poachers' live-wire trap in Telangana

A forest officer named Naveen had a very important job keeping forests and wild animals safe.

Some people had secretly set electric wires in the forest to catch animals, which is against the law and very dangerous.

Naveen and three other forest workers went to find and remove these traps.

During the afternoon they removed some traps, but later that evening they got a tip that more traps had been placed.

When they went back at night, it was very dark.

Naveen accidentally touched a wire carrying powerful electricity and got a terrible shock.

He was rushed to the hospital, but sadly the doctors could not save him.

The minister in charge, Konda Surekha, was deeply saddened and asked police to investigate and punish the people who set the trap.

She also asked the forest department to give Naveen's family money and a government job for one family member.
