Doctor Found Dead At Surat Hostel, 4 Seniors Suspended For Alleged Harassment · NDTV

A doctor named Harsh Pandya was learning to be a medical expert in a city called Surat.

He lived in a hostel, which is like a dormitory for students.

One morning, he did not come to work, and his friends could not reach him.

When they opened his locked room, they found that he had died.

The police think Harsh may have died by suicide, which means he hurt himself on purpose.

Some older doctors may have been mean to him, which is called ragging or harassment.

Because of this, four older doctors were told they cannot work or teach for six months.

The health minister asked a special team to find out what really happened.

The team must write a report about their findings within one day.

The police are talking to other students and doctors to understand if Harsh was treated badly.
