Pawan Kalyan Announces ₹50 Crore Beautification Of 105 Ponds
The government is improving 105 ponds so people can use them as pleasant public spaces.
The work costs ₹50 crore and receives support from a central government water scheme.
More than half of the work is finished.
Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan said all the ponds should be ready by the end of September.
In one village, a pond now has a walking track, children’s park and open-air gym.
A new urban forest was also opened in Pithapuram.
It was built on land that had previously been used as a dumping yard.
These projects are meant to give people cleaner, greener places for exercise and relaxation.
Beautification work on 105 ponds across the state is being carried out at a cost of ₹50 crore under PMKSY support.
Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan said more than half the projects were complete and all would be finished by the end of September.
He inaugurated a ₹73 lakh development project at Mysamma Cheruvu in Fakruddinpalem, including a walking track, children’s park and open-air gym.
Pawan Kalyan inaugurated the six-acre Pithikapura Vanam urban forest, developed at a cost of nearly ₹1.83 crore on a former dumping yard.
He said 18 urban forests had been inaugurated across the state at a combined cost of ₹36 crore under the Nagar Van Yojana scheme.
