Pawan Kalyan Inaugurates Peethikapuravanam Urban Forest in Pithapuram
Pawan Kalyan opened a new urban forest in Pithapuram, Andhra Pradesh.
The forest covers six acres and cost about ₹1.83 crore to build.
It was created on land that had once been used as a dumping yard.
The new green space has trees, a butterfly park, a pond and a Miyawaki plantation.
One section has trees linked to the 27 nakshatras, or star groups.
Another section has plants connected with several Hindu deities.
Pawan Kalyan asked officials to improve the forest so local people and visiting pilgrims can enjoy it.
He also opened a walking track and open gym at a nearby tank.
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan inaugurated the Peethikapuravanam urban forest on Monday.
The six-acre forest was developed at a cost of about ₹1.83 crore under the Centre’s Nagar Van Yojana.
The site, formerly a dumping yard, includes Nakshatra Vanam, Shiva Panchayatan Vanam, a Butterfly Park and a central pond.
Pawan Kalyan also visited a 70-cent Miyawaki plantation and directed officials to further develop the forest for residents and pilgrims.
At Maisamma Cheruvu in FK Palem, he inaugurated a walking track and an open gym.
