Delhi CM Rekha Gupta vows future-ready judiciary, celebrates Teej
Rekha Gupta is the Chief Minister of Delhi, a big city in India.
On Sunday, she talked with young students at a law competition at the National Law University in Delhi.
She said the government wants to make Delhi's courts and legal system ready for the future.
She believes the talent of young people and modern buildings and technology can make it stronger.
India has always cared about fairness, the Constitution, and justice, she said.
Later that day, she joined the Hariyali Teej celebrations at Delhi Haat in Pitampura.
Teej is a monsoon festival that celebrates love, nature, and the power of women.
It remembers the love story of Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva.
Women took part in fun competitions like mehendi, bindi, rangoli, and Teej Queen.
The Chief Minister said such festivals keep traditions alive and bring people together.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said the government is preparing the national capital's judicial system for the future.
She spoke at the closing ceremony of the first National Trial Advocacy Competition at Delhi's National Law University, supported by Think India.
She said India's justice tradition gives primacy to reason, sanctity to the Constitution, and the highest place to justice.
Earlier on Sunday, she joined Hariyali Teej celebrations at Delhi Haat in Pitampura and greeted women.
The two-day Teej festival, organized by the Delhi Tourism Department on August 8-9, featured mehendi, bindi, rangoli and 'Teej Queen-Miss Teej 2026' competitions.
